The You Yangs, located 55km southwest of the Melbourne, is well known for its distinctive granite peaks that can be seen as a rise in the volcanic plains on the drive between Melbourne and Geelong. The environment in this area needs to be protected from introduced weeds. Join us to combat the boneseed populations currently residing on site, to allow for native indigenous plants to flourish.
What to wear:
- Long pants and long sleeved shirt
- Sturdy, enclosed shoes
What to bring:
- Lunch and bottle of water
- Broad brimmed hat and wet weather gear (if needed)
What is provided:
- Tools and safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, sunscreen etc
- Tea, Coffee and Biscuits are provided each day
- Pick up and drop off as detailed above
