Join us for our World Wetlands Day event. Conservation Volunteers encourages community to get involved on World Wetlands Day 2nd of February.
This year we are concentrating on the Pallarenda Indigenous Plant Trail - come along and remove invasive weeds and help restore this beautiful cultural educational trail that is a part of the Wetland Walk a seasonal wetlands that leads to the Freshwater Lagoon, part of the nationally reknowed wetlands in the Town Common.
This event celebrates signing of the Convention on Wetlands, an international treaty for the conservation and wise use of wetlands. Wetlands are a precious natural asset, critical globally for water and food security, reducing the impacts of flood and storm surges, storing carbon and providing wildlife habitat.
Come along for a unique bird watching experience.
