On this day we are supporting Willowbank Reserve Care Group to look after the ecology and heritage of Willowbank Reserve in Tawa, which is 5.5 ha in size. This means we will be looking after previously planted natives, picking up litter, caring for the stream, eels and other life within the stream, combating pests such as blackberry, broom, gorse, convolvulus and whatever else is growing there, whilst cherishing and enhancing the heritage and ecological values.

This group has been working in the Willowbank Reserve near the Takapu Rd railway station for several years.

What to wear/bring: sturdy boots or gumboots, long sleeves and pants, waterproof jacket, a hat/beanie, a drink bottle and some food.

What we provide: gloves, tools, high-vis vests, health & safety briefings, an experienced team leader and training.

Free transport to and from Wellington City is available (contact us to arrange a pick-up).

REGISTRATIONS ESSENTIAL AS PLACES ARE LIMITED.
