Conservation Volunteers in conjunction with the Friends of Lake Claremont and the Town of Claremont have planted thousands of seedlings at this beautiful site over the last couple of years. Join us to become part of the story as we support the revegetated areas with green stock maintenance and exotic weed removal.
Lake Claremont has been a multi-use parkland and golf course that has been made a Bush Forever and Conservation Category Wetland site. Due to the impact of clearing the bushland for the golf course, the area has now been targeted for rehabilitation to try and establish a link to surrounding fragmented bushland between Kings Park and the coast. It is an important area for the Carnabys Black Cockatoo who roost and forage in the area.
Come along and enjoy the company of like-minded people, and the knowledge that you are contributing to improve our local environment.
