Conservation Volunteers in conjunction with the Friends of Lake Claremont have ‘Adopted a Spot’ at this beautiful site.  We have been busy planting thousands of seedlings at Lake Claremont for the last couple of years and as we come out of the winter months we will be back here once a month to support the seedlings with green stock maintenance and exotic weed removal.

Lake Claremont has been a multi-use parkland and golf course that has been made a Bush Forever and Conservation Category Wetland site. Due to the impact of clearing the bushland for the golf course, the area has now been targeted for rehabilitation to try and establish a link to surrounding fragmented bushland between Kings Park and the coast.  It is an important area for the Carnabys Black Cockatoo who roost and forage in the area.
