The spectacular Limeburners Bay, located in the southwest of Port Phillip adjoins Corio Bay in Geelong. The bay itself was named after a site which once burned limestone for making cement. There are many endangered species present in the bay area and the site forms part of the Port Phillip Bay and Bellarine Peninsula Ramsar Site as a wetland of international importance. The focus of this project will be to assist with protecting the integrity of the native areas with weed removal and planting.
