Central Park is part of the Town Belt, and is one of Wellington City’s oldest public parks. With the Moturoa stream running through it, the park extends for 13 hectares from the edge of the CBD and Te Aro Valley up to the suburb of Brooklyn. It contains mature stands of native trees and excellent walking tracks.

We have teamed up with the Friends of Central Park to replant and maintain the stream banks and by clearing rubbish. You can expect some or all of these tasks at the upcoming working bee.

What to bring/wear: sturdy boots, long sleeves and pants, waterproof jacket essential. Layering and wearing a hat or beanie is a good way to stay warm. Bring a water bottle and some food.

What we provide: all tools and gloves provided as well as training and an experienced team leader.
