Woodstock is an ecologically important property boasting a number of flora communities and providing great connectivity across a heavily urbanised landscape. The region is home to threatened species which include the koala, glossy-black cockatoo and platypus. Weed species are prominent in some areas of this site while others have been inundated and suffered native die-back. One area in particular is a natural wetland which once flourished along the Albert River. Re-establishing this habitat and the surrounding woodland will increase the biodiversity and function of the landscape.

Come and join the team as we partner with Youth+ to help restore these areas. Initial works will include weed removal and site preparation for future tree planting. This is a great chance to learn about habitat restoration processes from beginning to end, gain hands on skills in conservation and meet like minded people while experiencing some of the stunning landscapes that South East Queensland has to offer.
