Trelissick Park is a 22 ha strip of native and regenerating native bush which encompasses the Ngaio Gorge. The park takes in stunning views of stream and forest scape so that when you're on the valley floor it feels like you're in the remote hills of the Tararuas. On this day we'll be lending our support to the Trelissick Park Group, a committed group of local people who have been methodically removing weeds and planting in the park for over 15 years. Our task will be to visit one of last winters planting sites and remove weed species which are beginning to out-compete the trees which have been planted. Come along and lend a hand, it'll be a beautiful day out in an urban paradise.
