Come along and help us on our Papakura Stream Restoration Project! This project aims to restore and protect stream banks and water quality, as well as provide habitat for native species, through fencing, planting native trees, water quality monitoring, and community engagement on both public and private land.
On this day we will be visiting The Brookby Project to give our newly planted native trees a helping hand! Once our trees are planted we need to continue caring for them for the next 3-5 years. Strangling weeds such as bindweed and kikuyu grass can grow rapidly, smothering juvenile trees. We need your help to rescue these trees and give them the best chance of survival!
