Come join us for a week of planting and camping in the Blackwood River Basin! This week we will be assisting the Blackwood Basin Group in planting over 10 000 wetland plants on private land in the river catchment area.

76% of the Blackwood Catchment is privately owned and there has been a legacy of extensive land clearing leading to a number of degradation issues which affect biodiversity values, land and water health.  The Blackwood Basin Group assists private land holders to revegetate their land to provide habitat corridors for animals to move through the landscape.

We will be travelling down on the Sunday to a farm outside of Kulikup in the south west of WA. Here we will be planting Monday to Thursday, an essential task which will help to establish and restore the mosaic of freshwater wetlands which provide habitat for endangered and priority animal species, both native and migratory. We will make our way back up to Fremantle on Friday.

Concession rate are available, please contact our office for more details.  Conservation Volunteers provide tents, swags and all of the tools and equipment for the trip.
