On this day we will planting native trees and shrubs at Trimdon Reserve in Randwick Park. This is part of our Papakura Stream Restoration Project which aims to improve water quality, protect stream banks and provide food and habitat for the array of native species that inhabit this region.
To finish the day, we invite all of our volunteers to join us for a free sausage sizzle (meat and vege options available). CVNZ will provide all of the tools and equipment required on the day, however if you have a favourite spade or pair of gardening gloves then you are more than welcome to bring them along.
What to wear: Long sleeved clothing (to protect against cuts and scratches and insects), sturdy covered footwear that you don't mind getting muddy (gumboots, hiking boots, trainers, work boots), and bring with you a hat and waterproof jacket.
An email with further information regarding exact meeting place etc. will be send a few days prior to the volunteer day to all those who have booked/registered.
We hope to see you at our upcoming planting day!
