Predator Free Wellington aims to make Wellington the first predator free capital city in the world – aiming for zero possums, rats and mustelids. It will give us a natural city that flourishes with native wildlife and a dawn chorus that will be the envy of other cities. So join us for a day of trap building and in the afternoon you can learn how to clear a trap line on Mount Victoria.
What to bring/wear: sturdy boots, long sleeves and pants, waterproof jacket and a hat. Bring a water bottle and some food.
What we provide: tools and gloves provided as well as training and an experienced team leader. Free transport options available - get in touch to book a seat asap as seats are limited.
The traps we make will be given to the local community group who are helping to make Wellington the first predator free city in Aotearoa!
