We will be heading up to the mountains for five days to help NSW Forests construct and maintain tracks around Tumbarumba. These tracks will make State Forests more accessible, allowing keen bushwalkers to experience the Forest, and minimise impacts of multiple informal trails.
By constructing new walking tracks in the Forest we will be helping visitors to enjoy the different types of vegetation and have a go at spotting the animals and birds that live there.
We will also be doing some weeding, pruning, and building to maintain pre-existing tracks.
We will be leaving Canberra on Monday morning and returning late in the afternoon on Friday. This project will attract a small cost to cover food and accomodation at a local caravan park, where we will be staying in cabins.
What you can expect:
- Being in the great outdoors with nice people
- Building something of value
- Walking beautiful forests
- Being involved in a unique and exciting opportunity to build a bush walking track
- Getting out of Canberra for a few days
