Tangalooma EcoMarines is an inspirational and award winning environmental education program aimed at achieving better environmental outcomes and developing environmental leadership among students of all ages, schools, community organisations and local businesses. Tangalooma EcoMarines is a Brisbane-based, not-for-profit foundation focused on the protection of the marine and wild life of Moreton Bay and they are proud Associate Custodians of Quandamooka Country.
To bring you this event Tangalooma EcoMarines have joined forces with Conservation Volunteers Australia who will then be facilitating a debris collection throughout the afternoon. Litter has serious consequences on marine and wild life who get entangled in it or ingest it mistaking it for food.
This event is more than just picking up litter. Corporate volunteers will watch an educational documentary to learn about environmental issues and how they can help protect our environment, and the day will also include storytelling and cultural awareness by a Quandamooka Land and Sea Ranger.
Conservation Volunteers Australia are a leading practical conservation organisation with established Corporate Volunteering programs and events throughout their 28 offices across Australia and New Zealand.
