Tamar Island Wetlands is a remarkable place steeped in history and loadeed with environmental jewels. Currently, the weeds are invading the phragmites (native reed) and we need to get in there and take the weeds out before they spread too far. Due to the presence of the endangered green and gold frog, spraying with chemical is not an option.  In particular, our focus will be on isolated blackberry patches that we can dig out using mattocks and shovels.

The wetlands is a great place for a project as there is always something interesting to look at or learn about such as the story about Bruno the bull...
