Join us on May 10 for the Big Morning Tea to celebrate NSW Volunteering week!
City of Sydney and Conservation Volunteers Australia have partnered to provide local residents with the opportunity to assist with environmental restoration works in and around the park and its wetland sites. This will be a great way to keep active, improve your health and meet like-minded people whilst helping the environment.
Volunteers will participate in weeding and revegetation activities that will not only enhance the beauty of the park but provide valuable habitat for the local wildlife such as small birds and reptiles.
Park visitor and monthly bird surveys will be conducted to gather useful information to assist in the management of the park and to track the wildlife population trends.
Regular guided walks and information sessions/ wildlife workshops throughout the year.
Start time 9.30am
Meet on site at The Kiosk located at the park entrance near the corner of Princess Hwy and Sydney Park Road. (See map). We usually gather behind the public restrooms.
Finish time 2.30pm.
If you’re heading to the park by public transport, St Peters train station is just across the road. There are bus routes that stop nearby, such as the 370 and 422. Look for routes that travel down Sydney Park Road, Princes Highway and King Street.
Three 4hr limit car parks are available, Sydney Park Road opposite Mitchell Road; King Street and Barwon Road. Some unlimited parking exists along Euston Road.
