STOCKLAND EMPLOYEES ONLY - Stockland Centennial Parklands Day
Lying in the heart of in the heart of Sydney, Centennial Parklands comprises Moore Park, Queens Park and Centennial Park and covers more than 360 ha. A classic urban park in the Victorian tradition it is one of the world’s finest & most used urban spaces, catering for 6 million visits a year.
As well as providing an invaluable green space for a wide variety of human activities it is also home to an impressive range of wildlife, from breeding waterbirds to a sizeable colony of flying foxes. There is a variety of valuable natural & heritage conservation works to be undertaken within the park, e.g. bush re-generation works such as removing invasive weed species from the naturalised areas of the park
PICKUP:
8.30am - Central Train Station, outside Countrylink terminal entrance, near taxi rank. Transport available for up to 9 volunteers.
OR
9.00am - Meet on-site at Centennial Park, outside the information desk and water fountain, in front of Centennial Homestead Café, Corner Grand Drive and Parkes Drive, Centennial Park.
FINISH: 3.00pm
Important Information for the day:
Please wear sturdy boots, long pants, and long sleeve shirts. Hats, sunscreen, and water are a must.
