Tawatawa Reserve is located between Owhiro Bay and Island Bay. Well-known to dog-owners as a place to let their dogs run freely, this reserve offers spectacular views from the ridges and a wide range of tracks provide walks of various lengths and degrees of difficulty. It also contains some of the oldest ngaio trees in Wellington and a large number of wharangi, an attractive tree that is regionally uncommon.

On this day, we will be supporting the Southern Environmental Association with their invasive weed elimination plan - and we are calling on your help to make this happen!

What we provide: tools, gloves, an experienced team leader, and training. Free transport available from the city centre or our office in Melrose.

What to wear/bring: sturdy boots essential, long sleeves and pants, hat/beanie, waterproof jacket, water bottle and lunch.

Get in touch if you'd like to be involved, we'd love your help. Email wellington@cvnz.org.nz to register or book online.
