Sorell Rivulet is an important tributary of the Derwent and it flows into RAMSAR listed Orielton Lagoon; an internationally significant wetland ecosystem.
Being located in an urban area, the Rivulet faces a myriad of challenges and pressures from the built environment around it. Today, we will be working adjacent to Sorell’s Shopping Centre to clear the rivulet of litter and other debris to stop it flowing downstream and out into the Lagoon.
