Its tree planting season in Warrnambool! CVA are working with local farmers to plant indigenous trees and shrubs on farmland in the South West region. Shelter belts provide food and homes for local animals, provide shelter for stock and potnetially reduce soil erosion and salinity.

Volunteers will be spending a day planting trees on a property . If you want to learn about local flora species, meet new people and enjoy a day in the fresh, South West air, then join this project!

What to wear:

  • Long pants and long sleeved shirt
  • Sturdy, enclosed shoes
  • Wet weather gear
  • Broad brimmed hat and wet weather gear (if needed)

What to bring:

  • Lunch and bottle of water

What is provided:

  • Tools and safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, sunscreen etc
  • Tea, Coffee and Biscuits are provided each day
  • Warrnambool pick up and drop off
