The Shark Bay World Heritage Area is one of the "world's greatest wilderness treasures", where the far west coast meets the sea. The local Malgana Aboriginal people call the area Gutharraguda, meaning 'two waters', with Shark Bay consisting of two bays that are sheltered by peninsulas and a long island. Shark Bay was listed as a World Heritage site in 1991 due to its outstanding examples of unique flora and fauna.

Join us for a week as we assist the local DBCA team with their trail upgrade projects. Activities will include upgrading the current directional signage, as well as track clearing and maintenance at Cape Peron and Monkey Mia.

For this project we will be departing Fremantle on Sunday morning, arriving in Shark Bay mid-morning on Monday to begin the track and trail activities. We will then depart Shark Bay Friday afternoon, with another night spent at an accommodation en-route before returning to Fremantle Saturday afternoon.
