Take an exciting journey through the Western Plains of Victoria at Serendip Sanctuary. Located at the base of the You Yangs, Serendip is a haven for nature enthusiasts and wildlife watchers!
Serendip Sanctuary contains open grassy woodlands and wetlands of the volcanic Western Plains of Victoria. There is a wide variety of wildlife, as well as free-roaming and visiting birdlife to view. The sanctuary actively participates in captive breeding programs for endangered species including the Brolga, Freckled Duck, Eastern Barred Bandicoot and Tiger Quoll.
The Eastern Barred Bandicoot is one of many threatened species that occurs in remnant grasslands and grassy woodlands and you can help to ensure their survival in the future! On this day you will get to peek behind the curtain and assist in enhancing the Bandicoot enclosures at Serendip.
We will provide transport from South Geelong, departing at 8.00am and returning around 4pm. Or if you live local you can meet on-site by prior arrangement.
