Serendip Sanctuary is an open grassy woodlands and wetlands of the volcanic Western Plains of Victoria. Wildlife is abundant at Serendip Sanctuary with a wide variety of free-roaming and visiting birdlife to view, as well as the sanctuary participating in captive breeding programs for endangered species including the Brolga, Freckled Duck, Eastern Barred Bandicoot and Tiger Quoll.
Habitat restoration activities that volunteers may assist park rangers with include fence building and maintenance, weed removal or native tree planting depending on time of year and current needs.
