On December 19 2016 a devastating fire ripped through the Scotsburn and Clarenden area destroying 4,000 hectares, including homes, property and bushland. Almost 3 years on we are asking for your help to continue the slow recovery. Working in conjunction with the Leigh Catchment Group, we are carrying out 2 days planting in Durham Lead. So if you want to gain some experience in conservation, make a contribution to your local community or just enjoy the outdors, we would love for you to get involved.
What to wear:
- Long pants and long sleeved shirt
- Sturdy, enclosed shoes
What to bring:
- Lunch and bottle of water
- Broad brimmed hat and wet weather gear (if needed)
What is provided:
- Tools and safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, sunscreen etc
- Tea, Coffee and Biscuits are provided each day
