Spring is here!!! if you are looking for a weekend volunteer opportunity that is family friendly? Join us at Patawalonga Creek

Conservation Volunteers invite you to come and join in with planting seedlings in a biodiversity corridor.  You can be involved in helping revegetate and provide urban habitat for birds, lizards and frogs in your local neighbourhood.

Adelaide Airport Ltd in partnership with Conservation Volunteers Australia and the Friends of Patawalonga Creek have been restoring the Patawalonga Creek where it passes behind Adelaide Airport. Volunteers have been helping through seed collecting, planting, weed control and surveys. This site is an important refuge for aquatic life including tortoises and frogs, as well as small bird life. The creek site includes a significant remnant of local Melaleuca in the area, and a number of other rare or remnant plant species. This area has had fantastic changes over the years thanks to Friends of Pat Creek and CVA volunteers with the support of Adelaide Airport Ltd - please come along and help us plant some local native species at the site - it's easy for you to join the team for a day and be a part of this!

This is a great way to learn about some of the local native plants of the Adelaide Plains region and to help restore habitat for wildlife in the northern suburbs of Adelaide.
