The Birdwing butterfly vine is the main natural food plant for larvae of the Richmond birdwing butterfly. Due to clearing, the destruction of corridors and inadequate protection of key habitats, the vine’s habitat, lowland subtropical rainforest, is listed federally as Critically Endangered and Richmond birdwing butterfly as Vulnerable.
Join CVA and Noosa Landcare for an educational morning tea to learn all about these amazing butterflies, what is being done to bring them back to South East Queensland and what you can do to help!
This event is completely free and open to people of all ages, so bring your kids and grandparents along for a morning of educational fun! Please RSVP by Thursday 19th September to secure your place.
