Prospect Creek is one of the crucial arteries to the Nationally Listed Critically Endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland. Over the years this creek has been cleared for agriculture, industry and housing. Our city storm water flows down its heart and its banks have been filled with many noxious plants. It is only a glimmer of its once glorious self.
BUT it is on the mend! With your help we are slowly but surely restoring its former beauty and its valuable habitat so we can save the many displaced critters just hanging on to life in the fast lane.
We are working in partnership with Cumberland City Council and activities include weed identification and removal, planting native trees and shrubs, habitat improvement and monitoring water quality.
Pick-up at 8:30 am Granville Station, leaving site at 2:30 pm, for drop off around 3:00 pm.
