Arid Recovery manages a 123 square km wildlife reserve in the arid north of South Australia. Wildlife are protect across the Reserve using 80kms of fencing that excludes feral cats, foxes and rabbits. It is Australia's largest predator-proof fenced reserve and is important to protect threatened mammal species, such as the Greater Bilby, Burrowing Bettong, Western Barred Bandicoot, Greater Stick-nest Rat and Plains Mouse that have otherwise been decimated by feral animals across the rest of Australia.

Arid Recovery needs our help to replace the foot-netting along a 3km section of their feral-proof fence to secure the reserve against feral animals.

This is a unique opportunity to assist a not-for-profit that is committed to restoring native wildlife both within their Reserve and across the vast arid zone. You will be sleeping in dormitory accommodation actually within the Reserve and through sponsorship from Arid Recovery you are able to get involved in this project at no cost!

This project will book out quickly, so please register to book your place, or contact the Adelaide Office for more information.

Please note. You will be required to attend an information session about the project prior to departure, and will be contacted by CVA to arrange a convenient time.

There is no cost to join this project.
