The Woorim Foreshore on Bribie Island is part of the Moreton Bay Ramsar-listed wetland of international significance. It is a sensitive foredune and riparian habitat, breeding ground for the critically endangered Loggerhead Turtle and habitat for migratory shorebirds (including the endangered Eastern Curlew) protected under international agreements.
CVA will improve environmental outcomes at this site by undertaking weed control revegetation, marine debris clean-up and dune stabilisation. Join us for a community day, no prior experience is necessary, our friendly team leaders will teach you everything that you need to know on the day!
Please note that unlike our other daily projects to participate in this community planting day you must be able to make your own way to and from the meeting point. Remember to wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt, enclosed shoes, a hat, sunglasses and please bring your lunch and plenty of water!
