Join us for a working bee on the whenua (land) of Te Hapu o Ngati Wheke. We planting lots of native plants to restore the riparian vegetation in and around Omaru Stream, and nows the time to release them from the weeds!
Time: 9:30am-12:30pm
Location: Please park in either of the parking areas opposite Omaru Road, on Governors Bay Rd.
Bring: Your own gardening gloves, sturdy boots or shoes, a water bottle and sunhat. As part of our health and safety requirements, CVNZ requires volunteers to wear long sleeves and trousers as protection from the sun and vegetation.
We’ll supply tools, but you are welcome to bring your own - hedge shears or flax knives are most useful.
