Join us for a planting day on the whenua (land) of Te Hapu o Ngati Wheke. We have planted lots of native plants to restore the riparian vegetation in and around Omaru Stream, and we're continuing this planting further up the stream this year.
Time: 9:30am-12:30pm
Location: Meet at the Woolshed, 236 Governors Bay Rd, Rapaki.
Note that the planting site is a 20 minute walk up the hill from the woolshed.
Kai is provided, so please let us know if you're coming along!
Bring: Your own gardening gloves if you have them, sturdy boots or shoes, a water bottle and sunhat. Please wear long sleeves and trousers as protection from the sun and vegetation.
We’ll supply tools, but you are welcome to bring your own spade if you have one.
Please register below to let us know that you're coming, or email Hamish at hfairbairn@cvnz.org.nz for more information. On the day, please call Hamish on 021 399 040.
