Come join CVA, for a fantastic day of tree planting and watering on a site that has spectacular views over Canberra and the Brindabella Mountains.
The project site is hit by strong westerly winds, so the project will also involve the construction of dune fencing to assist the revegetation process. The project site sits at the edge of a quarry owned by Holcim, who are proudly supporting the project.
The area is surrounded by endangered box-gum grassy woodlands, so all activities will aid in the restoration of this endangered ecosystem. Activities will also involve a high level of maintenance watering to help the plants establish themselves.
Come along and join us for what promises to be an engaging and interesting project.
What you can expect:
-Planting native trees
-Great views of Canberra and the Brindebella Mountains
-Being involved in the rehabilitation of an old quarry
-Being out in nature for a day
-Meeting interesting peole
-Recognition of your efforts
