Sandfly Creek Reserve south of Townsville has some remnant endangered Beach Scrub that provides vital habitat and seedbanks.
It is intended that Sandfly Creek Reserve will be an area where cultural resources and heritage values will be protected and the landscapes, naturally occurring species and natural ecological processes can continue relatively undisturbed.
Join the team to remove invasive weeds especially guinea grass and reduce the fire load.
This area is not accessable unless you come with us, so join in and lend a hand and enjoy the hidden gems around Townsville.
