Prospect Creek is a crucial east west artery within the now Critically Endangered Cumberland Plain. The Cumberland Plain lies between Parramatta and the Blue Mountains and is essentially a large fresh water floodplain. Over the decades this creek has been cleared for agriculture, industry and housing. Propsect Reservoir, the largest wetland National Park in the Sydney basin, hosts its beginnings and from there it meanders east to the Georges River. Western Sydneys storm water flows down its heart and its banks have been occupied with a wide variety of weeds and invasise plants. It is only a glimmer of its once glorious self.

BUT it is on the mend! With your help we are slowly but surely restoring its former beauty and its valuable habitat so we can save the many displaced critters just hanging on to life in the fast lane. You will be re-planting trees and shrubs to assist in the formation of habitat for reptiles and wetland species, birds and possums that inhabit the corridor.
