In partnership with Basalt to Bay Landcare Netowrk and local fire brigades, volunteers will be involved in activities such as:

Prepare fire break - removing biomass around perimeter of reserve to prepare for burn off encouraging native species to regenerate

Weed removal - hand pulling and spot spraying invasive species

Revegetation - planting local indigenous species to strengthen biodiversity

Flora and Fauna Surveys - participate in recording vital data which will contribute to future management

What to wear:

  • Long pants and long sleeved shirt
  • Sturdy, enclosed shoes
  • Broad brimmed hat and wet weather gear (if needed)

What to bring:

  • Lunch and bottle of water

What is provided:

  • Tools and safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, sunscreen etc
  • Tea, Coffee and Biscuits are provided each day
  • Warrnambool pick up and drop off
