Come and help remove the left-over debris from the Territory Day fireworks before the tide washes them into the ocean, and protect the important habitat of the critically endangered far eastern curlew. We will collect the debris from Lee Point Beach, enjoy a free breakfast at the Beachfront Hotel in Nightcliff and then catalogue the debris and send the information to Tangaroa Blue, the Australian Marine Debris National Database.
It's an early start, but we need to start early to beat the high tide. This is a joint initiative with the Environment Centre NT and Waste Free NT, other sites are also available at Rapid Creek and Nightcliff.
6am - Leave Darwin office (lift is optional - you can meet us on site if you prefer)
