Join us along the foreshore between Portarlington and Indented heads to assist with a variety of conservation activities aimed at improving the habitat along the foreshore.
Bellarine Bayside Committee of Management are improving the foreshore between Portarlington and Indented Head through weed removal, mulching, planting of native plants and upgrading the walking track. This is aimed to improve habitat for a variety of native animals, stabilise the foreshore and beaches, as well as improve the experience for residents and visitors that utilise the foreshore.
We will provide transport from South Geelong, departing at 8.15am and returning around 4pm. Volunteers need to bring their lunch and a bottle of water, as well as wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and boots or sturdy shoes. It is also recommended that volunteers bring and use a broad-brimmed hat, sun-screen (30+) and insect repellent.
