It’s easy to see why the Spinnaker Lookout walkway is a favourite with the locals in Whitby! Within minutes of entering the walkway you will find yourself in the middle of a forest, under a canopy of massive trees that drain out all the noise from the area, with only birds chirping up. It’s truly magical.
Get involved in your local community and get stuck in to some rewarding conservation mahi! On this day we will be be doing some general track maintenance, this will involve mainly digging out the side channels to aid in water management on the track and trimming back vegetation from the track.
What to bring/wear: sturdy boots, long sleeves and pants, hat and waterproof jacket essential. Layering and wearing a beanie is a good way to stay warm. Bring a water bottle and some food.
What we provide: all tools and gloves provided as well as training and an experienced team leader. Free transport available from the Z station on Vivian Street at 8:30am - please let us know if you need a ride. Alternatively meet our team on site at 9am. Finish time may vary but is usually around 3pm.
