Point Henry Foreshore Reserve is surrounded by a mosaic of low coastal dunes, saline wetlands and saltmarsh offering nice views across the bay. This site is an important wetland habitat for both local and migratory waterbirds.

Sea Lavender is an emerging weed threatening these environments and a potential threat to other coastal vegetation on the Bellarine Peninsula. This project is part of the ongoing management program for this weed, and involves hand weeding isolated plants that can't be chemically controlled.

Volunteers will be sweeping through the site to remove Sea Lavender and other woody weeds, as well as cleaning up coastal litter.

We will provide transport from South Geelong, departing at 8.15am and returning around 4pm. Or if you live local you can meet on-site by prior arrangement.
