Today we travel out to the beautiful Plenty River Valley, this River follows an ancient course from a catchment which flows out of rugged mountains into massive gorges. Then makes its way into the Derwent River. The section of river we will be working on forms part of the crown reserve along the river which provides a corridor for native species to move along. We need to plant flood tolerant native species of plants along the bank of the river to reduce the impact of erosion which has massive consequences downstream.
