Join Conservation Volunteers at this magnificent Witta Nature Refuge in the Sunshine Coast hinterland to restore and connect important koala habitat. You’ll get to explore this important property home to several species of threatened wildlife including koalas and Richmond Birdwing Butterflys.

Conservation activities at this site will help support critically endangered regional ecosystems. We will be planting a mixture of koala food trees, habitat species and native understory species to prevent weeds such as lantana from establishing which inhibits koala movement between trees.

This project is a great way to network and gain hands on skills for a career in conservation while making a real difference to our environment. If you require transport please get in touch with our Brisbane Office, otherwise meet the team on site at Witta Nature Refuge at 9:45am – we’ll be finishing up on site at around 2pm.

Transport is provided from our office at 333 Bennetts Road, Morningside or volunteers can meet the team on site. If you are making your own way to and from the project site please confirm this with the Brisbane office via email Brisbane@cva.org.au.

No prior experience is necessary, our friendly team leaders will teach you everything that you need to know on the day.

You will be notified of any changes or cancellation to the project by receiving an email or SMS prior to the start of the project.

**If you have any trouble booking on to this project (including fully booked projects) please email our Brisbane Office on brisbane@cva.org.au or give us a call on (07) 3399 5761 and we will manually register you.**
