The few remaining coastal reserves in Perth's industrial zones are under threat from weed invasion and vegetation degradation from erosion and uncontrolled access from the public, four wheel drives and motorbikes.
Conservation Volunteers will be working with Perth NRM and the City of Kwinana to revegetate the dunes by planting native coastal seedlings at Challenger Beach. This will help to stabilise the dune systems, reducing erosion and improving biodiversity for our local wildlife.
