Cape Bedford Marine debris clean up project in partnership with Tangaroa Blue and Hopevale Congress Rangers - a unique opportunity to have a taste of all the joys of Cape York- fantastic landscapes, rich indigenous history, unique flora and fauna and a touch of wilderness. This project involves cleaning up the beaches around Cape Bedford and suryeying the types of marine debris so that concerted campiagns that target the origins of jettisoned rubbish can be conducted.
Volunteers will be camping at Elim beach with some facilities (cold showers to cool you down!) in CVA canvas tents and stretcher beds. Activities will include long walks on beaches and searching through the strand line to remove and record rubbish - working alongside Community Indigenous rangers and community members.
