Come and join us to support the lovely little Paekawakawa Reserve in Island Bay. Be part of restoring and enhancing a beautiful reserve, while enjoying the fresh summer air with great people! Conservation Volunteers is teaming up with the locals of Island Bay to support Paekawakawa Reserve; a section of land saved from development by the community and Island Bay Natural Heritage Charitable Trust.
This fun and rewarding opportunity will involve helping native plants and wildlife flourish by releasing them from invasive weeds.
What to wear/bring: sturdy boots essential, long sleeves and pants, a sun hat/beanie, waterproof jacket. Bring a reuseable water bottle and some snacks - there are some great spots for a picnic afterwards.
We provide: gloves, tools, sunscreen, training and an experienced team leader.
Mahi will take place from 10am-1:30pm, with a short break inbetween. The reserve is accessible by bus and there is ample street parking on Derwent Street.
To register, email wellington@cvnz.org.nz or book online.
