The team at Conservation Volunteers NZ are very excited to continue our work in the Owhiro Stream catchment with a new restoration project and we want to share it with all of our local communities and volunteers. We have received a grant from MPI’s Matariki Tu Rakau fund to plant 20,000 natives in the area over the next three winters, starting this year in Owhiro Bay.

Join us in regenerating these areas with native rakau which will help stabilize the bank and filter the stream which flows into Taputeranga marine reserve. These sites will be our focus for planting over the winter season.

Various dates available, we are now able to provide transport.

What to wear/bring: Sturdy boots are essential, please bring eye protection/glasses, long sleeves, and long trousers. Ensure you pack warm clothes such as a beanie, jumper and a rain jacket to protect you against wind and rain. Bring a full water bottle and snacks!

What we provide: fully trained team leader/s, gloves, tools and training.

Free transport availbale - please get in touch with us to reserve a spot with your booking.
