CVA welcomes you to join us on our Origin Regional Tour. Origin Foundation has partnered with CVA to deliver volunteering opportunities in regional locations including Roma, Yuleba, Wandoan and Miles. Over the course of one week, CVA will deliver four day-long activities where Origin employees will be engaging in conservation activities including weed removal, debris collection and track work. Please see all details of the individual events below:

Tuesday 18th September

Roma Bush Gardens

• Pick up location = Roma Airport OR meet us onsite
• 8:30am pick up or meet us on site at 9.00am
• Finish time:  3:00 pm on site. Approximately 4:00pm drop off at the pick-up location.
• Roma Bush Gardens, a 14 ha recreational reserve including two dams, is situated within the town of Roma. CVA welcomes you to join us on an environmental tour of the gardens. The gardens showcase 11 vegetation communities local to the Roma region, including Brigalow, Coolibah and Mulga.
• On this 1-Day trip, employees will be engaging in a number of activities including conservation work such as weed removal, planting, water bird surveys, track maintenance and rubbish clean up.

Wednesday 19th September

Yuleba, Judd's Lagoon

• Pick up location = Parking lot at Yuleba Hotel, Roma Street OR meet us onsite
• 8:30am pick up or meet us on site at 9.00am
• Finish time:  3:00 pm on site. Approximately 4:00pm drop off at the pick-up location.
• CVA welcomes you to join us on an environmental tour of the Yuleba Community Gardens. All activities run from Yuleba Community Gardens are 1-Day events and feed into others works at Garth Cox Park, Yuleba State School and Wallumbilla. Activities will include both planting and promoting of local native bush tucker and establishment of native vegetation to promote fauna habitat.

Thursday 20th September

Wandoan - Waterloo Plains Environmental Park

• Pick up location = Bushlander Motel Parking area at 17 Henderson Road OR meet us onsite
• 8:30am pick up or meet us on site at 9.00am
• Finish time:  3:00 pm on site. Approximately 4:00pm drop off at the pick-up location.
• CVA welcomes you to join us on an environmental tour of the Judd’s Lagoon. Located just 5km from Yuleba’s Town Centre, the Lagoon provides habitat to many bird species and is an iconic location for tourists and residents of the area.
• All activities run from Judd’s Lagoon are 1-Day events and activities include invasive weed removal, planting, rubbish collection and analysis and water bird surveys.

Friday 21st September

Miles

• Pick up location = Tourist bus stop, ANZAC Park, Corbett Drive OR meet us onsite
• 8:30am pick up or meet us on site at 9.00am
• Finish time:  3:00 pm on site. Approximately 4:00pm drop off at the pick-up location.
• 1-Day event including removal of weeds at all of the above sites. Key weed species for removal include the Mother of Millions, Cats Claw, Boxthorn and Parthemium.
