Would you like to be involved in a project that makes a difference to the health of the Great Barrier Reef?
Join our ONE REEF project in Gladstone and Rockhampton!
ONE REEF is an initiative of CVA that harnesses the strength of partners, communities and volunteers to repair and reinstate priority wetlands and catchments of the Great Barrier Reef through the delivery of on-ground practical action, education, training, community engagement and volunteering.
ONE REEF is focused on mobilising community to make a tangible and practicable on ground difference to the health and resilience of the Great Barrier Reef, by restoring catchments and improving water quality.
This is a new and exciting project for CVA, and an opportunity to make a tangible and practical difference to the health of the Great Barrier Reef. In partnership with Catchment Solutions, and the Australian Government, Conservation Volunteers Australia will be undertaking revegetation activities with local landholders. We will be planting trees and removing weeds in an effort to improve water quality entering the Great Barrier Reef.
Activities may include removing weeds, seed-collecting, tree-planting and plant propagation
