Located in stunning Scarborough, a seaside hill suburb of Christchurch, Nicholson Park has beautiful views over Sumner beach. This area was affected by the 2011 Christchurch earthquake and sections of the park have recently reopened. In Nicholson Park we’ll be working on removing several invasive species – Bone Seed and tree cotoneaster among them.
No experience is necessary as training is provided. We also provide gloves, tools as well as free transport to and from the project if needed.
What to bring/wear: sturdy boots, long sleeves and pants, waterproof jacket and a hat. Bring a water bottle and some food.
