ITINERARY:
Just before dusk we meet at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve – in the Ribbon Gum car park. Departure times are noted below (times change due to the season/sunset time).
The evening tour starts with a welcome and an overview about Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve with our local and experienced volunteer guide.
The evening guided spotlight walking tour will take you through the sanctuary – keep your eyes and ears open for nocturnal wildlife. The guided walk will take approximately 2.5 hours and is easy walking, suited to the groups’ pace. Tidbinbilla offers the chance to see Australia’s iconic wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and emus, as well as some more unique and endangered species such as the Brush-tailed Rock wallabies, long-nosed Potoroos and Eastern Bettongs.
At the end of the tour, your guide wishes you farewell, and you depart Tidbinbilla via your own transport.
Please note: we encourage photos to support our best practice spotlight practices, therefore we ask that no flash photography is used on the nocturnal tour.
Optional: arrive early and enjoy your own self-catered BBQ or picnic dinner in the park.
