At Conservation Volunteers NZ, we spend many days in the community each month helping local restoration groups such as the Mt Vic Bush Regeneration Group with whatever tasks they need help with - usually keeping on top of pesky weeds such as ivy! The Town Belt is a valuable resouce as it provides significant habitat for native wildlife spilling over from Zealandia. Enjoy a day working in the forest while listening to bird song, meet people from your local community and make a valuable difference to the environment.
No experience is neccessary as training is provided. We also provide gloves, tools as well as free transport to and from the project if needed.
What to bring/wear: sturdy boots, long sleeves and pants, waterproof jacket and a hat. Bring a water bottle and some food.
What we provide: all tools and gloves provided as well as training and an experienced team leader. Free transport options available (seats are limited!) - get in touch to book a seat.
